For many players, baseball has been a part of their lives since they were young.
For example, Ayden Williams (12) said, “Ever since I was younger, my uncle played baseball in college and got drafted, so that encouraged me to start playing. I’ve been playing since I was like four years old.”
Similarly, Tristan Mullis (11) also said, “My dad started playing baseball, so I kind of just followed in his footsteps.”
In addition, team chemistry has been one of the biggest strengths this season. Players say their favorite part is being around each other and building memories.
Mikey Meyer (11) said, “My favorite part this season is just being around all my teammates, building memories, and winning ball games.”
Likewise, Brayden Moreno (10) added, “I feel like we have a really good group of guys this year. It’s fun to be around and makes practices and games better.”
Furthermore, the team also keeps things fun off the field.
For instance, Tristan Mullis (11) said, “My favorite part so far is probably the free food after every win. We get free Five Guys after every win,” showing how the team celebrates their success together.
Looking ahead, the team has big goals for the rest of the season.
Ayden Williams (12) said, “We just want to make sure we have a deep run in the playoffs, host this year, and win our league again.”
Additionally, Tristan Mullis (11) added, “My goal is to carry strong momentum into the playoffs and encourage my teammates to do their best.”
Meanwhile, Brayden Moreno (11) said he wants “to make first team all-conference and continue to play well all year,” while Tristan Mullis (11) added that one of his goals is “to hit five home runs.”
Overall, the team feels confident about where they are right now. As they continue to improve and build on their chemistry, they are looking to finish the season strong and make a deep playoff run.
