With spring in bloom, Boys Swim and Dive made a splash at their first meet in late February, setting solid times and dives to kick off the season. Most recently, the team faced off last week against Discovery Canyon Campus High School on March 12th, where the atmosphere of the natatorium was electric as each athlete raced across the pool and dominated on the diving board. With the influx of promising freshmen, the team has their sights set on qualifying for state on May 8th and 9th. Many athletes had no regrets trying out, as freshmen formed connections and united over a shared love of swimming, while the rest of the team hopes to make new memories. This year’s seniors especially are committed to making their last season their best. Swimming is also known to be good conditioning for other sports, as it tests endurance and is a good way to build muscle. After spring break, the team has the Hawk Invite at Cheyenne Mountain, which has always been a challenge, while League is April 29th and 30th.
