The actors of Zombie Prom have been working diligently on the production of the show, having rehearsals daily to prep for the upcoming show in April. Actors have been busy doing read throughs and choreography.
The vision of Zombie Prom follows Jonny Warner, a lovestruck teenager that drives himself to suicide after his true love rejects him. Jonny faces discrimination at school, and is not allowed to attend the prom at the end of the year, due to a strict “No Zombies” policy, characterized by the variety of songs expressing this throughout the play. Jonny is played by sophomore Kobe Clark, new to the Pine Creek program and eager to deliver excellence to the show.
However, when the stage is empty of actors, technicians are hard at work. Eric Last (10), the assistant stage director, heads the construction crew and helps oversee the show.
Technicians do many things in the show, such as working lights, designing costumes, sets, and props. Without the combination of help from all the technicians and actors helping illuminate the show, dress the actors, and put items on stage and in actors hands, the show could not be produced, truly showcasing the importance of a team effort throughout the show.
