Students Anticipate Summer Activities
With school coming to a close, students are ready to mentally and physically let loose and have fun. Only two days of finals remain and students are looking forward to summer now more than ever. Hannah Mertens (9) said, “For summer I plan on going up to the mountains and hanging out with friends. I am going to Estes park for the summer and staying in a cabin. I am also going to go bowling and swimming during the course of the summer.” Talon Media has put together a list of the best summer activities to do indoor and outdoor over the summer.
Colorado is notorious for constantly changing weather, therefore activities outside aren’t always guaranteed. Colorado as a state has a lot to offer. Colorado Springs has a lot of fun places such as Sky zone Trampoline park, Springs Adventure park, The summit Interquest, Colorado Pioneer Museum, Aircity 360, Overdrive Raceway, and The Great Wolf Lodge. A blend of informative and engaging activities to visit. There are a lot of indoor places you can choose from that are physical and relaxing. Mackenzie Stark (9) said, “I love trampolines. I am excited to go to places like Spring Adventure Park. I’m probably going to hang out at the mall or go to Scheels. I love going to Summit.” Colorado in general has a great deal of indoor places to visit throughout the course of summer.
There are a bunch of places outside you can go to such as parks, Garden Of The Gods, Pools, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, Cave Of The Winds, Manitou Cave Dwellings, Water world, and Elitch Gardens. Tate Holden (9) states, ‘’I’m more of an outdoor person. I recommend the incline in Manitou for this summer and my favorite trail to go to is New Santa Fe Regional Trail.’’ There is a large variety of outdoor activities to choose from. Later throughout summer temperatures will increase making outdoor places more feasible to visit. They all range in different prices.
Summer isn’t that far away in fact it is right around the corner. Colorado has a lot to offer both indoors and outdoors. There is enough to do to keep you occupied all summer. Make this summer a good one and make memories.
