Lacrosse Team Ready to Stick It to Another Season

Lacrosse season has started and the players are ready to bring their “A game.” Last season they ended  with a 8-2 record, and hope to do better this season. Freshman Chase Stensby said his goals for this season are “To win. [To have an ] undefeated season, it’s going to take a lot of work regardless even if you’re the greatest team.” Players are excited for this season and the possibility to be Varsity or Junior Varsity players. With many seniors leaving, more spots on these teams have opened up.

Many of these players have been playing lacrosse since grade school.

With many new promising freshmen, the team has improved.  Junior Quinn LaChat said “The team just needs a few more practices and we will be plowing this season.” Players are also hoping for a .500 win percentage this year, especially when going against teams like Air Academy and Cheyenne Mountain. The rivalries between these teams, has fired up players and prepared them for the season. These goals combined with the effort being put into the team from the players is preparing them for success.
